Dom Corona, a self-taught artist, has been deeply influenced by Disney since his first visit to Walt Disney World at the age of five. That initial experience sparked a lifelong passion for Disney. During a trip to Hollywood Studios in 2008, an artist drew Donald Duck for him, along with the words “To Dominick, future Disney artist.” This simple yet powerful message became a prophecy of Dom's ambitions.
Following his participation in the Disney College Program in 2016, Dom embarked on a journey to become a Disney Artist. His creations, renowned for their vibrant style, textured brush strokes, and mastery of color, capture the very essence of Disney magic. Through unwavering dedication to his craft and increasing recognition for his work on social media, Dom steadily moved closer to his goals.
In 2021, Dom was invited to join the Disney Creators Lab, marking the beginning of numerous collaborations within the Walt Disney Company. Notably, at Disney Springs, he had the opportunity to create "Proud Original," a piece spanning a 13-foot wall during the Art Walk event. This vibrant portrayal of Mickey Mouse, adorned with a rainbow Sorcerer hat, serves as a symbol of embracing one’s true self and recognizing self-worth.
One of Dom’s significant collaborations has been with the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. Throughout 2023, he held pop-up galleries at the resort, adorning both the main lobby and corridors. These exclusive pieces, blending luxury and magic, continue to grace the resort as part of an enduring partnership, enchanting guests with their timeless allure.
At EPCOT's International Festival of the Arts in 2024, Dom's work inspired a new creation: a secret drink exclusively offered at La Cava Del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion.
Dom’s journey as an artist is a testament to the power of dreams and the magic of Disney. His partnerships and collaborations continue to expand as his work inspires and brings joy to Disney fans around the world. His story serves as a reminder that with passion, dedication, and a little bit of pixie dust, dreams really can come true.
